Man Arrested After
Rooftop Chase
A
man was in custody awaiting interview today after a rooftop chase
through Nuneaton finally ended in his arrest.
A
Mazda car was spotted turning the wrong way into Church Street at
4.44pm yesterday on CCTV cameras. As it drove up the street it
was involved in a collision.
The
driver then got out and ran away and climbed up on the roof of tax
office.
Police officers gave chase, but the suspect jumped down 15ft to
the ground and made off.
Investigations
continued and a man was later arrested at Nuneaton railway station
and charged with the theft of a motor vehicle.
The
man, aged 25, from Birmingham, was treated for an injury to one of
his feet, and was due to be interviewed by officers today.
