Teenager Dies In Road Smash

A teenager was killed as he tried to negotiate an accident blackspot near Coventry at the weekend.

The 18-year-old was pulling out of the A445 onto the A45 at Ryton when the accident happened at 11.30am on Saturday.

His Peugeot 205 was struck by a Ford Mondeo travelling along the A45 towards Coventry.

A second car, a Ford Granada, left the road and swerved in a ditch to try and avoid the accident.

The teenager, Adrian Gerald Bishop, from Folkestone in Kent, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
