Robbers Hit Coventry
Kwiksave
A
worker at a Coventry branch of Kwiksave was forced at gunpoint to
return to his store to open it for robbers who stole £5,000 of
goods.
The
man had shut the shop in Quorn Way, Ernesford Grange, with
colleagues at 8.30pm on Friday.
The
man separated from his colleagues and was approached by a man in
Edward Bailey Close.
As
he got close the man produced a gun from under his jacket, and
forced the shop worker to get into an old-style blue Ford Sierra,
where another man was waiting.
They
demanded the keys to shop, but the man did not have them. They
then forced him to call the shop manager and arrange to meet him
at the store.
When
they got in they stole £5,000 of Vodafone and Siemens mobile
phones, phone cards and cigarettes.
A
police spokesman said:
"This
was a terrifying experience for the two men and we are anxious
to contact any witnesses."
