Armed Robbery At
Bulkington Store
Armed
robbers threatened a shopkeeper with a gun and hit him on the head
several times as they raided a store in Bulkington.
The
attacker walked into Weston Lane Stores at 9.40pm and demanded
cash from the till.
They
hit the storekeeper, Thomas Robinson, aged 49, on the head several
times and escaped with some money.
Mr
Robinson received several head wounds and had to be treated for
his injuries in hospital, where he needed stitches.
The
men then ran off, and are believed to have escaped on foot.
The
man with the gun, described as a short and stubby weapon with a
silver barrel, is white, of stocky build, and about 35.
He
was wearing a thick beige woolly jumper, had brown hair and was
unshaven.
His
accomplice is of stocky build, had a black tight-fitting jacket,
and had a light coloured mask, possibly a ski mask.

have appealed to anyone who saw anything to contact them on 01926
