Boy Aged 13 Killed
In Coventry Car Smash
A
13-year-old boy was killed and several others injured in a
horrific rush hour crash in Coventry yesterday.
The
collision between two cars happened in Bennetts Road, Keresley
shortly before 5pm.
The
boy was in a silver Vauxhall Cavalier which collided with a
Vauxhall Tigra. Firefighters had to cut the mangled wreckage of
the cars apart.
Two
other 13-year-old boys were in the car and both suffered multiple
injuries in the crash.
One
was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where he is in a
critical condition. The other is being treated at Coventry and
Warwickshire Hospital.
The
driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Keresley was also taken
to Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital suffering from serious back
injuries.
The
driver of the other car, a woman aged 33 from Nuneaton was treated
for a fractured collar bone at George Eliot hospital and was later
