Woman Mugged In Coventry Street

A woman was shoved against a wall and had her handbag wrenched from her in a daylight attack in a Coventry street.

The 58-year-old victim was walking down Gulson Road in Stoke at 10.45am yesterday, away from the city centre.

A youth walking towards her came up to her and barged her with his shoulder.

As she stumbled he grabbed her handbag and ran off towards to the city centre.

The handbag had £199 in cash, black leather gloves and some personal items in it.

He is Asian, slim build, aged between 16 and 19 and was wearing a dark baseball cap and dark jacket.
