CRIMES, FIRES & ACCIDENTS
Vandals Cover House
And Car In Paint
Tins
of decorator’s paint were hurled over a car and a house in Tile
Hill causing extensive damage in an apparently motiveless attack.
The
creamy-yellow paint was thrown over the Mercedes car and front of
the house in Hockley Lane between midnight and 4am on Tuesday.
Police
say they are baffled by the attack and are appealing for help in
finding the specialist paint.
Two
empty tins of the Bromwell emulsion colour-based pastel colour
were found nearby.
PC
Richard Parker of Tile Hill police said:
“The
paint is used mainly by tradesmen, painters, decorators or
builders and is quite unusual.”
On
the back of the tin in black marker pen the letters “AXJY” had
been written, with "C40" underneath.
PC
Parker said:
“There
has been extensive damage to the car and the house and we are
appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything
suspicious in the night to contact us.”
Anyone
who recognises the paint tins is also urged to get in touch on
0324 7653 9064 or 7653 9010.
