Get Whiplash In Double Crash
Three
police officers suffered whiplash injuries as they crashed while
on the way to deal with another car accident near Atherstone.
They
were driving in the Peugeot 306 with blues and twos flashing and
wailing when they collided with a Mitsubishi Charisma on Saturday
at 1pm.
The
accident happened 100 yards away from another crash at the
junction of the A5 Watling Street with Woodford Lane, which the
officers had been sent to deal with.
The
officers, one woman and two men, all needed treatment for
whiplash. One of the officers was a probationer.
Three
young children also suffered whiplash injuries in the original
accident that the police were going to.
They
were in a Nissan Micra being driven on the A5 southbound towards
Nuneaton by their father, a 40 year-old-man from Barwell, who
suffered a broken right leg in the accident.
The
children, a girl aged ten, and boys aged nine and six were hurt
after the Micra collided with a red Rover 214.
The
Rover, driven by a 38-year-old Hinckley man, was pulling out from
Woodford Lane onto the A5 when the collision happened. Witness
should call 01926 415000.
