Young Boy Set Upon

A
12-year-old boy was attacked by a gang of children, some of whom
were as young as seven, as he played in Coventry’s War Memorial
Park.
The
gang of five approached him at 12.40pm yesterday and asked if they
could borrow his golf clubs.
They
then hit him in the head and punched him several times before
pinning him down and searching him.
The
gang, who are white and aged between seven and 15, then took £3
from the lad before running off.
The
boy, who was terrified by his ordeal, suffered swelling to his
forehead. Any witnesses are urged to contact police on 024 7653
