In Coventry
Police
made their second high-value seizure of drugs believed to be
heroin when a car was examined in a Coventry street.
Officers
from the National Crime Squad in Rugby found 15kg of heroin in a
BMW parked in Tulliver Street, Radford on Friday at 6.30pm.
The
packages are believed to have a street value of £1m.
A
man was arrested and was released on police bail.
DCI
Kelvin Robert, of the National Crime Squad, said:
“We
are delighted to have stopped the distribution of such a large
amount of Class A drugs and the streets of Coventry and the West
Midlands, and also to have disrupted the criminal activity that
would have undoubtedly been behind this service.”
