Armed Men Terrorise
Supermarket Staff
Masked
men armed with sawn-off shotguns herded frightened staff into an
office in a Coventry supermarket last night.
They
walked into the Co-op in Foleshill Road, Foleshill at 8.45pm and
pointed the weapon at assistants there.
The
staff were forced to go into the manager’s office. The men then
stole a “substantial” amount of money and escaped.
It
is thought that the men may have left the area in a Ford Granada.
Both
attackers were white and aged between about 30 and 35.
One
is large, has a prominent bridge on his nose and dark eyes. He was
wearing a balaclava and a green fleece jacket.
His
accomplice is slim, with dark sunken eyes. He had has a brown and
grey moustache and was wearing a woollen balaclava. He was
carrying a black leather sports bag with red handles.
