Sawn-off Shot Gun
Raiders Strike At Club
Masked
men armed with sawn-off shot guns terrorised staff at a Coventry
club early this morning.
One
man needed five stitches after being hit on the head with the butt
of a gun by the raiders at the ROAB club in Foleshill.
The
staff, two men and a woman, were preparing to leave at 12.30am
when the attackers burst in and forced them back in the building.
They
stole money from gaming machines and cigarettes, and lashed out at
one of the men. He was later treated at Coventry and Warwickshire
Hospital.
They
then escaped after stealing one of the staff’s members red
Daewoo.
Police
appealed to anyone who saw them escaping, or who knows where the
car now is to contact them
A
spokesman said:
“This
was a nasty crime and these two men are obviously very
dangerous.
“We
need the public’s help in order to stop these from attacking
again.”
Both
attackers were white and about 5ft 10ins and stocky build. They
both had dark trousers and dark balaclavas and spoke with a local
accent.
The
first offender was wearing a dark coat or anorak and had blue
trainers with white soles. He wore a baseball cap over his
balaclava.
His
accomplice was also wearing a dark anorak. Anyone with information
