Third Late Night
Robbery Attack in Bedworth
Another taxi
driver has been robbed after he made a late night trip from
Nuneaton to Bedworth.
In the latest
attack, the driver picked up a fare in Attleborough Road, Nuneaton,
and drove five men to Johnson Road in Bedworth.
A police
spokeswoman said the five occupants paid the fare and got out at
the destination.
But one of them
reached through the window and grabbed the driver and he was
banged on the car door. The driver was not seriously injured,
although he had a red mark on his face.
Thaw robber got
away with £150 in a in leather bum bag and made off from the
scene
He was said to be
white, aged 25 to 30, 5ft 8in or 9ins, with dark spiky hair, about
14 stone, with a round face, wearing short-sleeved black shirt and
jeans. The others were said to be white males aged 25 to 30.
This is the third
similar attack affecting taxi drivers taking a group of people
from Nuneaton to Bedworth late at night, ending up with the driver
being robbed.
