Man Killed In A45 Accident

A pedestrian was killed on a dual carriageway in Coventry early today after he was struck by a lorry.

The collision happened on the A45 outside the Windmill Village hotel and golf club at 2.30am.

The victim, a 30-year-old man from Scotland, suffered multiple injuries in the crash. The driver of the lorry, aged 36, from York was shaken but uninjured.

Police closed the southbound carriageway of the A45 between Pickford Highway and Oak Lane until 8am while accident reconstruction took place.
