Coventry Man Attacked On Sky Blue Way

A Coventry man needed emergency surgery after he was the victim of an unprovoked attack yesterday morning.

The man in his 30s was walking home along Sky Blue Way about 2.30am on Saturday when he was attacked near the junction with Walsgrave Road.

He was taken to the Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital by taxi and treated for a six-inch wound to his neck. He underwent surgery on Saturday afternoon.

His attackers were said to be three white males, about 5ft 7in with blond hair in crew cuts.
