Attempted Murder Bid on Leamington Teenager

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed at his home in Leamington in a domestic dispute yesterday afternoon.

A Warwickshire police spokeswoman said:

“A 19-year-old male had a stab wound and was taken to hospital for the three- inch deep wound. His injuries are not now thought to be life threatening.

“An eight-inch knife was recovered at the scene.”

Police are currently holding a 19-year-old woman at Leamington police station.

It is thought she will be charged with attempted murder after the incident in Buckley Road about 2pm on Monday.

UPDATE: Police say a 19-year-old woman is due in court this afternoon on a charge of wounding, in connection with the above incident. She is also due to face an assault charge following a previous incident.
