Woman Fights Off Leamington Sex Attacker

A woman fought off an attacker who indecently assaulted her as she walked home after a night in Leamington town centre in the early hours of the Saturday morning.

The victim was said to be ‘traumatised’ but not physically injured following the sex attack about 2.15am. 

She did not see much of her attacker and can only give a vague description.

A police spokeswoman said the victim had left town and walked along Brunswick Street towards Whitnash when she was grabbed by a man:

“The 20-year-old was walking home to Whitnash following a night out in Leamington Spa.

“She was approached from behind and dragged into the park adjoining Franklin Road.

“She kicked and screamed and was indecently assaulted, and the man ran off.”

The attacker is described as a young white male, about 5ft 7ins, wearing jeans. 

He did not say anything to her and fled when she started to kick and scream.
