Silver Guns Pointed At Off-licence Staff

Masked men brandishing silver handguns stole money and cigarettes from a Coventry off-licence last night.

They burst into Victoria Wine in Winsford Avenue, Allesley at 9.25pm and threatened the two staff there.

They took the money from the till and an unknown quantity of cigarettes before fleeing in a car believed to be a green R-reg Vauxhall Astra.

The car sped off in the direction off Allesley Old Road. Neither staff member was injured and no shots were fired.
