A Coventry
holidaymaker had to be rescued Baywatch-style after he got into
difficulties in the sea at Skegness today.
Martin Wood, aged
35, had to be pulled from the sea after he was spotted shouting
for help 150 yards away from the shore at Ingoldmells beach.
He had gone out
in the sea on a beach board.
Members of the
public spotted him in trouble at 8am, and an air-sea rescue was
launched.
He was saved by
two members of the Skegness Rescue Team and taken to Skegness
hospital suffering from hypothermia.
