Coventry
Pair Arrested In Animal Rights Raid
Police
from Cambridgeshire raided a house in Coventry today as part of an
operation against suspected animal rights activists.
They
raided a house in Sir Henry Parkes Road, Canley, shortly after
5am. A woman aged 33 and a 32-year-old man were arrested and taken
to Cambridgeshire to be interviewed.
At
the same time addresses in Evesham and Cambridgeshire were raided
and two other people were arrested.
A
factory unit in Evesham was also visited by officers and
paraphernalia associated with the animal rights movement was
seized
All
four were arrested on suspicion of inciting harassment, inciting
grievous bodily harm and inciting criminal damage.
The
charges are linked to threats made to workers at animal research
laboratories in Cambridgeshire.
