Can You
Help Find Missing 'Vulnerable' Lucy?
Police are
concerned for welfare of a Rugby woman, who has been missing from
home for four days.
Lucy Jane
Whistance, aged 28, who has never gone missing before is described
as ‘extremely vulnerable.’
She was last seen
on Friday when she left the home she shares with her parents in
Abbey Street, saying she was going to a nearby shop to buy sweets.
Lucy suffers from
dementia and walks with the help of an aluminium cane. She is
forgetful and gets confused. Police believe her naivety may have
led her into the wrong company.
Insp Mike Slater
of Rugby Police said:
“We are
extremely concerned for Lucy’s welfare and need the public’s
urgent help in finding her.
“Her parents
are also very worried given the state of her health and I would
urge anyone who thinks they may have seen her to contact us
immediately.”
She was last seen
wearing a distinctive African tie-dye trouser suit which was
purple, yellow and white in colour and black slip-on shoes.
Lucy was also
wearing a two-inch beaded African bracelet and a small nose stud
in her right nostril.
She only had £1,
no coat and none of her medication that she needs daily.
Lucy has
previously lived in the Hockley and West Bromwich areas of
Birmingham, as well as Bilton in Rugby.
Anyone with information
on Lucy’s whereabouts should call Rugby police on 01788 541111.
