Man Threatens Lone Cashier
A robber in a
balaclava used a knife or syringe in a late-night robbery at
Leamington petrol station.
A Warwickshire
police spokesman said:
“A man was
working alone when another man came into the shop. He demended
cigarettes and money from the till and threatened the shop
assistant with a knife or a syringe.”
The robber fled
with four packets of cigarettes and a handful of £10 notes from
the till. The shopworker was not thought to be injured, but was
shocked.
The robber was
described as a white male, aged in his late 30s, with stone-washed
light coloured jeans.
The robbery took
about about 12.45am on Sunday at the BP service station in
Brunswick Street, and the robber left on foot towards Aylesford
Street.
