Pizza
Deliverer Attacked Around The Head
A pizza delivery
driver needed hospital treatment after he was robbed while taking
food to a Keresley address.
The employee of
Snappy Pizzas in Bedworth was set on by a gang.
A police
spokeswoman said:
“A pizza
delivery company had been given an order for some pizzas to be
delivered to an address in The Crescent, Keresley End.
“When the
delivery driver arrived in the road, he was approached by a
number of males who demanded the pizza from him.
“A struggle
then ensued during which he was hit, and was struck around the
head by an unknown object.
"The
offenders made off taking the pizzas and his mobile phone.”
He sustained
minor head wounds and was taken to hospital. The victim, who lives
in Nuneaton, was released in the early hours of this morning.

UPDATE: Police have since arrested a 19-year-old man
from Keresley in connection with this crime. He has been released
on police bail.
