Coventry
Driver Killed in Van Smash on A46
A Coventry man
was killed when his JCB was in collision with a van on a south
Warwickshire road, near Bidford.
It appears one vehicle
drove into
the back of the other.
The collision on
the A46 between Salford Priors and Alcester at 9am on Thursday
morning closed the northbound dual-carriageway for five hours.
The injured man
was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham but later died
from his injuries.
He has been named
as Patrick Toner, 59, of Coleridge Road, Wyken.
The van was
driven by Steven Comber, 22, of Didcot, Oxfordshire, who was taken
to the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
