Robbers Cause Crash - Then Steal BMW

Robbers caused a crash with a woman motorist and then drove off in her convertible BMW car.

The robbery took place in Lapworth yesterday afternoon. As the woman turned off the main road, her car was rammed and then stolen from her.

A police spokeswoman said:

“The woman was shunted from behind by a red Ford Fiesta and she go to out to talk to the driver. He was a black male.

“They had a discussion and he took her to his vehicle to show her the damage and two other black males joined him.

“There was a struggle for the car keys, and the men drove off in her BMW leaving the Fiesta at the scheme.”

Police particularly want to hear from a couple in a dark-coloured Jaguar who pulled up at the scene. They may not have realised a robbery was in progress.

The BMW car registration was P188 GDA.
