Two Die
In North Warwickshire Crashes
Two
men died on North Warwickshire roads in separate single-vehicle
collisions over the weekend.
A
teenager from Atherstone was killed at the scene when his car was
in an accident at The Common, Baddesley Ensor, near the junction
with Merevale Lane.
A
police spokeswoman said:
“The
Alpha Romeo was travelling from Baddesley towards Baxterley when
it left the road and was in collision with a tree.”
The
victim has been named as Christopher Jones, aged 18, of Watling
Street, Atherstone.
Coleshill
traffic police would like to hear from witnesses to the crash
about 2.45pm on Friday.
And
a lorry driver died after his vehicle hit a stationary car and
then went down an embankment on a motorway hard shoulder.
The
lorry was heading south down the M42, between junctions 10
(Tamworth) and 9 (Coleshill) about 7.45pm on Sunday.
The
dead man has been named as Alexander George Mair, aged 63, of
Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
