A woman who was knocked to the ground by another woman, and then kicked by two men, ended up in hospital.

The assault took place outside a Chinese takeaway in Leicester Street, Bedworth, about 11.10pm on Saturday.

A Warwickshire police spokesman said:

“The 39 year-old local woman was punched by another woman causing her to fall to the ground. She was then kicked in the head twice by two men.

“During the attack, £40 cash and cigarettes were stolen. The woman was treated at the George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, and recieved six stitches above her eyes, and had bruising to her head and back.”
