Wolston
motorcyclist airlifted to hospital
A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a
road crash in a rural spot off the A5 near Newton.
James Knapton from Abbotts Walk, Wolston, was
riding a CV-500 bike, which was heading south from A5 towards Newton
village about 10.40am on Wednesday.
He was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in
Birmingham with chest injuries. He was described today as
‘satisfactory’ and his injuries are not life threatening
The
biker was
in collision with a car driven by Simon Boam of Snarlestone, south
Derbyshire, who was uninjured. He was travelling in the opposite
direction.
