Schoolgirl
airlifted to hospital after road crash
A schoolgirl was airlifted to hospital after she
was in collision with a car outside Harris C of E secondary school in
Rugby.
Samantha Bray, aged 12, was taken to the
Birmingham Children’s Hospital with suspected head injuries. It
later emerged she had a broken leg and a sore lip, and was detained in
hospital.
Samantha, who lives at Wood Farm, Willey, was in
collision with a car driven by Caroline Walker, aged 27 of Selbourne
Road, Rugby, who was uninjured.
The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon near
the junction of Overslade Lane and Harris Drive. Police closed roads
leading to congestion in the area at the end of the school day.
