Police in Coventry are hunting a
man who attempted to rob a bank and a building society but left
empty-handed.
He walked into the Nationwide
Building Society in Walsgrave Road, Stoke at 3.13pm yesterday and walked
up to a cashier.
He had one hand inside a bag and
threatened a female customer.
The man demanded money from the
cashier, but the security screen was activated and he left without
anything.
He is white, 5ft 8in, slim and
was wearing a navy-blue top with a hood.
A few minutes later a man
answering the same descriptions walked into Lloyds TSB just yards away.
The man suggested he had a
weapon in his bag and demanded money, but the cashier refused and he
left again.
