Police are linking a series of
sexual attacks on women in Atherstone after a 20-year-old was accosted
last night.
She was walking to work on a
nearby industrial estate at 9.30pm when she was approached on a
footbridge at the A5 in Mancetter.
The assailant rode up to her on
a motorbike and produced a knife with a five-inch blade.
He made comments of a sexual
nature to her and threatened her.
The woman managed to escape when
someone else approached the pair.
The attacker was aged between 19
and 21 and wore a black baseball cap and a yellow coat. He had a pitted
face, a local accent, is skinny, white and about 5ft in.
The incident is being linked by
police to two other attacks in the same area earlier this month by a man
with the same description.
