[17 JUN 00] CRIMES, FIRES & ACCIDENTS Man Dies In City Centre Plunge
A man died in Coventry on Saturday after falling from the eighth storey of block of flats in the city centre.
He was seen to tumble from Mercia House in Corporation Street just before 8am. He landed on the roof of the C & A store.
He was later named as Haroon Zahoor, aged 35, and lived in the flats.
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday.
