A Nuneaton teenager was raped at knifepoint as she walked
her dog near a railway line.
Police have launched a hunt for the attacker who threatened her with a knife before
subjecting her to the serious sexual assault yesterday at 5.30pm.
The 18-year-old was walking her dog in Weddington Fields in Nuneaton at the time.
Police have urged any witnesses to come forward with information.
They say they have not ruled out the possibility of a link with other rapes near
railway lines in Birmingham and Nuneaton between June 1996 and May 1998.
Anyone who can help the hunt should call 01926 415000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
