A pizza delivery man was
attacked and had his van stolen when he took food to a Keresley house at
the weekend.
The 23-year-old Perfect Pizza
employee went to a house in Cross Street at 12.30am on Saturday with a
pizza.
He gave the food to a man at the
house but two other men appeared and assaulted him.
They drove off in his Fiat Punto
van, which has a huge orange telephone on the roof. The victim needed
nine stitches to his inner lip.
The van was found later that
morning in the car park of the Colliery Club in Keresley.
Police
say they are treating it as robbery, and are appealing for any witnesses
to come forward..
