A dog walker needed stitches after he had a brick thrown at him for no reason in a Coventry park.

The victim was walking in Longford Park at 11am on Thursday when he was attacked.

He saw two youths aged about 14 standing in an enclosed area in the park.

Without warning or provocation, one of the teenagers threw half a brick at his head.

The missile hit the victim, and he needed several stitches at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital.
