Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a
67-year-old man was charged with kidnap in Nuneaton.
They launched an investigation following reports of a 37-year-old man being taken from
an address in St Nicholas Road, Nuneaton at 10pm on Tuesday 16 May.
Following contact with the mans relatives, an extensive hunt was launched, as it
was believed that the man had been kidnapped.
He was traced to a house in Smethwick, Birmingham the next day.
Three men and a woman were arrested and interviewed at a police station following the
discovery of the man.
Samtokh Singh Dee, aged 67, appeared before magistrates in Nuneaton yesterday
afternoon, charged with kidnap. The others were released on police bail pending further
enquiries.
Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses who may have seen
anything suspicious in St Nicholas Road at the time to come forward.
They are particularly eager to hear from anyone who may have seen a light blue Volvo
saloon in the street.
