Two youths are helping police
with their inquiries after a blaze gutted a house in Nuneaton last
night.
When fire crews got to the
building in Queen Elizabeth Road, Camp Hill, Nuneaton, both floors were
well alight.
No-one was in the house at the
time, but neighbours had to evacuate in case the fire spread.
The fire took hold of the
property and gutted it. Police were called in to investigate reports of
a gang of youths seen running away shortly before the blaze was spotted
at 11.30pm.
Later in the night officers
called in the police helicopter following reports of damage being done
to a car in the Hillcrest area.
Two teenagers were caught and
were taken into custody. They are also being questioned about the blaze
at the house, but no charges have been made.
Witnesses
are urged to contact police on 01926 415000.
