Two women were killed at the weekend when
the car in which they were travelling hit the wall of a Nuneaton pub.
They died when the Vauxhall Astra left the road in Tuttle Hill, on
the Camp Hill side of the canal bridge, and collided with the wall of the Crazy Horse pub
at 10.30pm on Saturday.
Jane Puffitt, aged 21, of Earls Road, Nuneaton and Stacey Parry, aged
20, of Hamilton Close, Hinckley both received fatal injuries in the crash.
The driver of the car, Rudi Golds, aged 21, of Earls Road, Nuneaton,
suffered a broken arm and a fractured skull in the accident and was taken to the George
Eliot Hospital.
The third passenger in the car, Craig Jennings, aged 23, also of
Earls Road, Nuneaton, was treated for leg and head injuries.
Insp David Fry of Warwickshire police appealed for any witnesses to
the accident to come forward.
He said it was believed that no other car was involved, and police
did not know why the car had left the road.
