The headmaster of a Coventry school was appearing in
court today facing charges of possessing indecent photographs of children.
King Henry VIII school has been left reeling after principal Terence Vardon became the
second senior teacher from the school to face such charges in the last week.
Vardon, 50, who has been the headteacher at King Henrys for around five years
after moving from North Leamington School, was appearing before Coventry Magistrates
today.
The charges come just days after one of the schools senior maths teachers John
Skermer, 51, faced magistrates on counts of possessing and distributing indecent
photographs of children.
In the hearing Skermer was given conditional bail and the case was adjourned to be
heard on 28 April.
