Coventry police are still appealing for witnesses
after the vicious rape of a 14-year-old girl in the car park of a city nightclub.
The teenager was attacked and raped at knifepoint in the car park of Fatty Arbuckles on
Stoney Stanton Road on 4 March at around 8.30pm. The terrified girl then ran to the Stoney
Stanton police station for help.
Police put out an immediate appeal for the driver of a black cab, which had pulled into
the car park at the time of the attack, to come forward. The driver has contacted the
police along with his two passengers and they have given statements to officers.
Officers returned to the nightclub on Friday night to question partygoers who may have
been in the area 24 hours before.
A spokesman said:
"Members of the public have contacted us with information but we would appeal to
those who have not yet spoken to the police to contact us no matter how small the
information is."
The attacker is described as a black male, six feet tall and in his early 20s.
Detective Constable Phil Houghton, who is leading the hunt for the man, described the
attack "extremely horrific" and warned that the attacker may strike again.
Anyone with information should call the police on 01203 539020.
