Four Arrested After Drug
Death
Coventry police have arrested four people from
Hillfields after a man died of a suspected drugs overdose.
The three men and one woman were arrested this morning for possession of drugs with
intent to supply.
The arrests came after an unnamed 33-year-old local man died of a suspected overdose in
Bath Street last night.
A 46-year-old man has also been taken to Walgrave Hospital suffering from a suspected
overdose arousing suspicions that a contaminated batch of drugs is on the streets.
A police spokesman said:
"In the light of these two incidents there could be
contaminated drugs or drugs of higher than normal purity on the streets of the city and
officers would advise all drug users to be very wary."
