Police have arrested a man in connection with an
alleged serious sexual assault at Baddesley Ensor.
The 36-year-old local is being questioned at Bedworth police station after the alleged
assault in Holly Lane on Saturday morning. He was arrested in a pub yesterday.
The woman suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalised.
Two possible witnesses came forward after hearing a radio appeal but police are keen to
trace two young men who were seen driving a red Vauxhall Astra, and two occupants of a
blue-green Rover 200 series car.
Police would also like to speak to anyone who was in The Crescent, Boot Hill and
Grendon and who might have seen a black Ford Fiesta parked containing a man and woman
acting strangely.

Meanwhile a Leamington man who is accused of indecently assaulting and falsely
imprisoning an 11-year-old girl at a dance school in the town has been remanded in custody
for a further seven days.
Thirty-year-old David Richardson, of Winston Crescent, in Lillington went before
magistrates to be charged with three new counts of indecent assault.
