Gun Murder In Foleshill
A 22-year-old Coventry was shot dead in a brawl
outside the Crow In The Oak pub in the Foleshill area of Coventry late on Friday night.
Unemployed Richard Waring, from the Potters Green area of the city,
was involved in a fight outside the Lockhurst Lane pub at around 11.25pm. The disturbance,
involving up to a dozen people, began in the bar before spilling out to the car park.
The pub is not known as a troublespot and there is
so far no clear motive for the incident.
The murder victim received a single gunshot wound and was
rushed to the Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything to call
