Coventry Bears 26, Birmingham 16
Coventry
needed a 16-point victory but failed narrowly to secure home advantage
in the play-offs.
Coventry
were first off the mark, when James Casey scored in the corner.
Tries
by Birmingham’s Nathan Golby and Errol Anderson took the score to
Coventry 10, Birmingham 14 at half-time.
In
the second half, Coventry always looked like scoring, but Birmingham
defended well and then came a penalty by Paul Worthington.

scored through Neil NcCollin.
James
Cathcart had flown in from Ireland especially for the match and his
two conversions made the final score Coventry 26, Birmingham 16.
