Racing were left
wondering how the points got away. The teams were level at half-time, but Racing dominated
the second half only to lose through an 88th minute strike by the Sierra Leone
international Ibrahim Bah.
Paul Eden scored two first half goals for Racing, the first from close range to atone
for missing an easy chance early on. Mike Stephenson levelled it for Shepshed after 17
minutes when the referee ignored a foul on Racing's defender Smith.
Racing went behind in the 23rd minute when Stephenson struck his second goal, but the
home got it togther again and Eden levelled the scores in the 38th minute from Ellison's
defence splitting pass.
Warwick dominated the second period searching for a deserved winning goal, but it was
to go to their opponents when Bah crowned a brilliant individual display with an 88th
minute strike.
