Major Contract Boost for Pettifer
Construction
Pettifer
Construction Ltd, the Warwickshire-based regional contractor, has
clinched five major contracts in the area worth a total of £8
million.
The
influx of business at the privately owned company echoes a period of
steady growth in the region's construction industry.
The
trophy contract is a £2.4m design and build project for a new food
research centre in Gloucestershire, which includes the refurbishment
and extension of the centre's existing laboratory buildings.
The
demolition and rebuild of a new £1.8m five storey mixed retail and
commercial development on Birmingham's prestigious Temple Row has also
been secured.
In
Loughborough, Pettifer Construction has been signed up by the
Scandinavian commercial vehicle giant Scania Properties to carry out a
£1m refurbishment project which will provide the company with new
training facilities.
A
£1.3m design and build office development for Wellesbourne Property
Holdings in Wellesbourne and a £1m tailor-made country home in
Warwickshire complete the flurry of new business wins.
Peter
Commins, managing director of Pettifer Construction, said:
"The
sheer volume and diversity of new contracts reflects our company's
strong track record in a variety of construction fields."
He
added:
"Since
the company formed in 1956, we have earned a reputation for
understanding our clients' needs and believe relationships are the
foundation of results. Fifty years later, that approach is still
helping us secure new business."
The
company, which employs more than 100 people at its headquarters in
Shipston-on-Stour, recently expanded its senior level management and
increased its board level to six as part of a major development
programme.
Pettifer
