August Air Show For Baginton
It
will be back to the 50s with an airshow at Baginton next month.
Organisers
say the first event last year went down well, and this one will be
even better.
Put
together by Air Atlantique, that runs Coventry Airport, the
attractions will include: Big Pistons, classis airliners, 50s Jets,
classic aircraft, cars and trucks, pleasure flying in Dakota Twin
Pioneer.
There
will also be a Glenn-Miller style orchestra and mini playgrounds for
children,
Some
15,000 visitors are expected at the show running on 12 and 13 August.
Chris
Warner, from Centre-Stage Promotions, helping to publicise the event,
said:
“Last
year’s one-day air show event proved to be a magnificent success
both for aviation enthusiasts and for families just looking for a
great day out.
“This
year, we have decided to open for Saturday and Sunday with practice
and pleasure flying day on Saturday, including a mini air display
and then the full-blown air show on Sunday.
“The
Saturday event will be a short show with the practice display, and
there will be aircraft arriving for the main show the following
day.”
There
is the opportunity for trade stands and side-shows and of companies to
rent hospitality facilities for corporate groups.
There
is a range of ticket prices, including £8 for adults on Saturday when
gates open at 11am (£6 in advance) – or £15 on the gate on Sunday
(£12.50 in advance) when gates open at 10am.
