PRESS RELEASE
Builders Are Seen To Be Safe With Astleys
Safety clothing supplied by a Coventry firm is appearing on construction sites all over the Midlands.
John Astley & Sons of Gosford Street has secured an order from
Wolvey-based construction company, Galliford, to kit out more than 1,000 workers in high
visibility waistcoats and anoraks.
All the garments have been customised with the company's logo by Astleys
Industrial Consumables Division, which offers a complete clothing contract
management service to business customers.
The new waistcoats will be worn on Galliford construction sites all over
the UK, including the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal and a
multi-screen cinema complex in Burton-on-Trent.
It is technically difficult to print a blue and white logo onto high
visibility fabric without the background colour showing through, but they
were able to meet the challenge.
Equally impressive was the high level of service provided by Astleys, which
ensures that the customer's workwear requirements will continue to be met
quickly and efficiently throughout the duration of the contract.
Astleys stock a wide range of workwear and safety clothing, as well as
protective goggles, respirators, helmets and boots.
Sales director Jonathan Astley said:
"The law is becoming increasingly tough on
employers who fail to look after the health and safety of their workforce
by providing proper clothing and equipment."
