Teenager Dies In Car Crash

A teenager was killed last night when the car in which he was driving lost control and hit a tree near Nuneaton.

The 16-year-old was in the front passenger seat of a Ford Fiesta XR2 which crashed at 11.15pm on the B4114 in Church End, Ansley.

He was later named as Jade David Taintin of Woodlands, Hartshill, Nuneaton.

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently awaiting interview.

A third youth in the car, a 17-year-old male, suffered minor head injuries. He was taken to the George Eliot hospital for treatment.
