Asbestos
Fear In College Arson Attack
Arsonists
caused an asbestos scare when they set light to an out-building at
Coventry Technical College yesterday.
Firefighters
were called to the storage building in the Butts shortly after 5pm
when flames were spotted.
It
is believed that the building was set on fire, but further
investigations are being carried out to find the exact cause of
the blaze.
Crews
from Radford Road fire station had to use special techniques to
stop asbestos in the roof being released into the atmosphere.
They
had to keep the roof area damp to make sure the deadly dust did
not escape.
It
took them five hours to make sure that the flames were fully out.
